The following is a list of the various services I offer for your personal family history goals:
For the intermediate to advanced researcher when you’re absolutely STUCK on a genealogy problem:
- Personal Family Research Projects: Have you reached a point in your personal research where you need additional help finding your lost ancestors? I offer my services for ‘ad hoc’ personal family history research projects based on research project time blocks for a set fee. We will work together to choose the best research project timeline for YOUR family.
- Document Retrieval: Do you need a document retrieved from a local family history center, library, or government building in Northern Oregon or Southern Washington area but can’t retrieve it yourself? I offer document retrieval on an individual basis for your documentation needs.
For the beginning genealogist:
- Beginning Genealogy Tutoring: Are you new to genealogy and need help learning where to begin? I offer personal genealogy tutoring on an individual basis via zoom or phone for your personal research goals.
- Organization, Digitization, and Restoration of Family History Photographs: Do you have a box full of old photographs you found in a musty box in a basement (true story, it happened to me!)? Would you like to digitize, or reorganize them so they are safely preserved for generations to come? Perhaps you have an old photograph that has scratches or smudges or stains and you would like to see if they can be returned to their former beautiful glory. Let me help with that, no box is too big, no photo is too old. Let’s work together to ensure these precious family photographs can be kept for many generations to come.
For the historian who wants memories preserved but doesn’t know where to start:
- Writing your personal family history: You’ve gathered research, found lots of interesting facts about your family, and want to share your story. The only issue you find is that you don’t know where to begin or don’t have time to write your family history for your collection. Let me help you write your personal family history so you can share your research with family and friends. We can discuss ways to publish and put into a layout with a personalized book that will look AMAZING as a commemorative gift for you or loved ones and make you look like the fantastic researcher you are!

- Some ideas for these commemorative books include: photo albums that can be published for multiple family members, family history report photo albums, and cookbooks. Examples of each kind can be available to peruse upon request.

- Conducting Interviews of Loved Ones: Do you want to safeguardthe memories and thoughts of your loved ones who are still living but don’t have the time to do so? We will work together to get a personalized list of questions for an interview for your family member to preserve his or her precious memories for generations to come and you or I can conduct an interview for your personal family history library. The results of the interview(s) can be provided in written or recorded format based on your needs.
